An amp head usually sits on top of the amplifiers base and comes in various sizes, which vary from small to extra large. They are good for live and studio settings. Although the size of the speakers may vary, but generally range from 8 "to 12". They are generally easier to transfer or move and is the lightest in weight. Usually, they make little or no noise compared to the larger ones.
